Abstract : This study aimed to know the level of the teachers' participation in several fields of voluntary work in local rural communities, and also to know voluntary work obstacles from the teachers' point of view, the study used the descriptive approach, and the study's tool was represented by a questionnaire specially prepared for this purpose, the research community was composed of teachers who work at Kholais Province schools during the academic year 1426/ 1427H. The sample included (108) teachers, represented 16.8% out of the total of the research's community individuals, the study concluded that the level of the teachers' participation in voluntary work specified in the study, ranges between medium and lower, with an arithmetic mean between (3,42 and 1,205) out of 5. There are several obstacles of voluntary work ahead of which are the following: lack of awareness of the society of the importance of voluntary work, failure of some authorities which are responsible for voluntary work in providing adequate knowledge of the available fields for participation, and the lack of knowledge of the authorities and kinds of work needed for the volunteers themselves and the unavailability of adequate time.
