King Abdul Aziz University since its foundation has been eager to climb the highest degree of excellence in all fields of science, research, and community services; and was able in recent years to achieve advanced levels in all fields so as to assume a leading position in international forums. The Scientific Publishing Center takes a responsibility to cope , interact , and participate in this development as a window for researchers and faculty members,

and all segments of the community, at regional and international levels so as to facilitate scientific and intellectual production of the university's scholars. The evolution of scientific publishing at the university, so not only to print thousands of books , in addition to specialized scientific periodicals, conferences and seminars which have contributed considerably to highlight the scientific renaissance taking place at KAU, but the Center has struggled to develop its tools and mechanisms for quality services, including the open access full text search services of all 11 Periodicals of JKAU. These periodicals are also searchable through some international databases and search engines:

Recently, the Center has joined the Publishers’ International Linking Association (PILA), to make use of its digital infrastructures that are concerned with citation linking network, taken care of by (CrossRef), and preventing scholarly and professional plagiarism, implemented by (CrossCheck). On the other hand, at the University Press, supervised by the center, modern equipment of high-tech printing processes has been added, including a modern unit to carry out Prepress Operations which contributed significantly to enhance the performance and shorten the duration of work. The Center, has developed a section of digital printing on demand, using the latest technologies. We look forward to providing more facilities and services in accordance with established scientific and publishing standards that enable faculty members to produce their scientific output and to make it available at national and international levels.
