Abstract : This study deals with the Yemeni movement of 1948 .Its main concern is the British and American government’s attitude toward the movement, through the British& American documents. Descriptive and analyzing methods were used to reach the intended goals of this study. The study found that neither the British nor the U.S.A government took an active role in that event. Their attitude was passive and neutral while two governments were in favor of changing the rule of Imam Yahya because of his doubtful unfriendly Policy toward the west in general, they were keen enough not to take any action that may be considered as a support for either party. The two governments delayed their recognition of the new regime till it became clear that it has earned good controle of the country.
