Abstract : Chronic hepatitis has been broadly defined as liver inflammation without improvement for at least 6 months. A more accurate definition is “it is a chronic necroinflammatory disease of variable severity that is noL associated with features of chronic cholestasis or with steatasis or Malory body forma(ion.” Histological classificati. of chronic hepatitis included chronic persisLent hepatitis, chronic active hepatitis, and chronic lobular hepatitis. The histopathological aspects of chronic heputitis are discussed.
