King Abdulaziz University Participated via its Scientific Council Execution Publisher Arm; Scientific Publishing Centre in the 37th edition of Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), which took place in Sharjah –UAE from 31 Oct-10 Nov 2018. In this respected cultural event King Abdulaziz University exhibited the intellectual output of its Academic staff, in the last five years. Over 120 titles have been presented to visitors ,in various fields, demonstrated the quality and value of the University Academic Production, which had been gladly received by audience and appreciated by researchers.
The University Stand is situated in the Saudi Arabia pavilion which combines Saudi Governmental publishers such as public universities, institutions..etc. The pavilion is arranged and managed by the Saudi Cultural mission in Dubai.
The importance of participating in this event comes from the (SBIF) reputation as it is ranked as the largest in the Arab World, based on the figures and statistics of the book fairs in recent years, mainly the year 2018 which showed an increased number of publishers and countries participated, to be exact a 1874 publishers from 77 countries, offering more than 20 million books to a 2.23 million visitors attended this edition of the book fair[1].
Generally, King Abdulaziz University has been part of this major cultural event, fulfilling its mission to deliver its intellectual output to the audience, domestically and internationally.
