SPC Participates in Launching The First Arab Electronic Platform

 

 

King Abdulaziz University (KAU) Scientific Publishing Center (SPC) has participated in Almanhal Company party for launching the first Arab Electronic Platform in the Arab Digital Content. The party was held in the Jordanian Capital Amman under the auspices of HE the Jordanian Minister of Higher Education. Mr. Mohamad Albaghdadi, the Executive Director of the Company, has said,” that this event will open new horizons before libraries all over the world for obtaining the publications of the scientific research institutions and the pioneering Arab publishing firms with economic cost.
It is worth mentioning that Almanhal Company is a joint venture between TechKnowledge, the most prominent electronic library advisory services companies in The Middle East and WoltersKnwe (Ovid), the publishing firm and the international provider of electronic, academic and professional information. Almahal is specialized in providing a comprehensive database for all academicians, researchers and scientists; through availing a platform that that matches the most prominent international databases and joins between flexibility and easiness of use for the information that is stored in PDF files.
Mr. Albaghdadi also mentioned that Almanhal cooperates in this effect with Ebrary Company, the pioneering first international digital in publishing and distributing books. Ebrary serves clients base of 500 main publishing firms and more than 4000 universities in more than 140 countries.
It is worth mentioning that SPC is in the process of signing an agreement with Almanhal Company for availing  its publications.
The Launching party has been witnessed by HE the Ministry of Higher Education Undersecretary; Dr. Mustafa Alodwan and a number of prominent figures in the arena of the scientific research, academic sciences and publishing.
