SPC Holds an Occupational Health and Safety

Within the SPC activity to acquire the Quality Certificate, it organized on Monday 27/ 6/1432AH corresponding to 30/5/2011 a workshop entitled:”Occupational Health and Safety management System” under the auspices of HE the Dean of Library affairs and Director of the Scientific Publishing Center; Prof.Abdulrashid A. Hafez; in which HE the University TQM Supervisor, Dr. Khalid Alfooty, spoke about the features of OHSAS: 18001:2007 that is related to the quality policy toward occupational health and safety. The workshop was attended by the SPC employees, and has been infiltrated by many interventions. The workshop most prominent recommendations are:

1-Each unit or division in the Center or Printing Press should fill the matrix related to occupational health and safety procedures.

2-Preparing programs and lectures related to self evaluation.

3-Training of first aid.

4-Training on Fire extinguishing.

5-Preparing informative signs about the enforcement of the quality policy in occupational health at the Center.
