HE the Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof.Adnan Bin Hamza Zahed, has inaugurated last week the new issue of the SPC Website in the Internet, in presence of HE the SPC Director, Prof. Abdulrashid Bin Abdulaziz Hafez.
The SPC Director has reviewed the most important element that characterize the new issue that are represented in the new banner that expresses mostly the SPC functions and the services it presents. The icons have been reorganized and some have been created in the aim of developing the performance of the Center, and presenting quality and distinguished services for the different sectors of the University as well as researchers inside and outside the University.
The SPC Director has mentioned also that the SPC is sensing its responsibilities being the executive body of the University Scientific Council, being keen to acquaint all community about the intellectual and scientific output of the University employees, as part of the Founder’s University efforts guided by HE President, Prof.Usama Bin Sadiq Tayyeb, and follow-up of HE the Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof.Adnan Bin Hamza Zahed, to activate the SPC activities. He mentioned in this respect that the new issue is concerned with statistics about its publications and the University Staff members’ researches that are published in international journals.
He also mentioned that it is possible for inside and outside researchers to request the print copy of the SPC Publications using the electronic forms that have been added to the website, beside the possibility of browsing the contents of these publications electronically.
Prof Hafez has also said that the Center, as a service sector, endeavors to put the satisfaction of its clients within the list of its priority. The Performance Measure Service has been added, to make use of the users’ comments and suggestions. He also mentioned that the new issue avails for the users’ the recognition of mechanism and stages of the printing process, the scientific publishing standards, and the possibility of online submission of research manuscripts. It also avails the manual of guidelines for preparing books and scientific researches, conferences, seminars, workshops data related to scientific research worldwide.
Hafez has also mentioned that the realization of reactivity elements between the Center and the users in the new issue has been observed; where new links, like “SPC Friends”, “Your Comments” and “Website Evaluation”, have been added, beside the social communication services, like “facebook” and “twitter”.
Finally the SPC director has invited staff members, researchers and students to visit the website through the link: spc.kau.edu.sa.
On his part HE the Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research thanked HE the SPC Director and his colleagues for their distinguished efforts; and he assured that they find the appreciation of the University Higher Administration.
